About the Role:
As the facility’s Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of aged care residents. You’ll be part of a supportive kitchen team that values consistency, care, and excellence in food service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing and serving meals

• Portion food according to individual dietary needs and plans

• Prepare meals for special dietary requirements

• Help manage food storage and maintain FIFO practices

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, fridges, and pantry areas

• Ensure compliance with food safety and aged care quality standards

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum 4 years of cooking experience (aged care or healthcare setting preferred)

• A good understanding of the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards

• Experience preparing meals for specific dietary needs and textures

• Availability to work early mornings and weekends (straight shifts)

• Valid and current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Relocation support may be offered for the right candidate
